Public Operations
Visit the Connecticut Trolley/Fire Museum campus and view our impressive collection of trolley cars, interurban cars, electric locomotives, fire engines, motor coaches and the many static displays and models. Spend an hour or stay the entire day. Ride just one trolley or try a variety of those made available for that particular days visit. You will have a favorite when you leave. Enjoy the twenty minute, three mile round trip through the beautiful Connecticut countryside as you listen to the narrative on electric traction and museum history as told by our Motor-men/ladies.
Roam the Connecticut Fire Museum and view their remarkable collection of fire fighting apparatus and old motor coaches. When you decide that you just cannot view anymore and that you really must return to the 21st century, drop by our Giftshop for a souvenir of your inspiring visit. Then make plans to return again - to see everything that you missed the first time! We’ll be looking for you.

At just a slightly higher cost we now have Car 1326 available for our "Mobile Birthday Party". You will celebrate your youngsters’ special day while traversing our mainline track for two complete round trips. We then move your trolley to a siding where you may continue the private partying for the time remaining!
Can you imagine the surprise and thrill that you will see in your childs’ eyes. There will be quite a story to tell Gram & Gramps...
We are excited to be able to offer this new feature at The Museum and we hope that you will be eager to join with us!
