April Vacation Fun!
Event Details
Join us for school vacation fun at the Trolley Museum! All week long the Trolley Museum will hold many creative and fun activities. Need to take a break? Pack a lunch and relax awhile as you watch the trolleys arrive and depart from our North Road Station.
Activities All Week Long
Trolley Rides • Take a trolley ride operated by period dressed motormen on a trolley car dating back to the early 1900's. Learn historic information about the collection and how the Museum began.
Trolley Experiences • Get up close and personal as you climb aboard selected trolleys from the Museum's incredible collection in the Visitors Center. From city streetcars to interurban cars this is your chance to take the controllers and let your imagination "operate".
Crafting Station • Make a motorman hat, create your own trolley fare ticket, and more! Take your new creations home with you for future use.
Dress-up Station • Dress up as a Motorman or Conductor! Great Photo op!
LEGO Station • During your visit build your own Lego creation focusing on trolley and trains from the past and future. After you creation is built display it for all to see throughout the week.
Fire Truck Museum • View over 15 fire trucks dating back to 1923. Learn more about the Fire Truck Museum's collection along with historic fire fighting equipment. Admission to Fire Truck Museum is included in the Trolley Museum admission ticket!
Different Daily Activities
LEGO Workshop - Fridays 10:00 am to 12:30 pm - Students will build a LEGO trolley using a pre-made kit instructed by a Museum Educator to take home. Workshop fee and advance registration required. Learn more about the workshop.
April Vacation Fun! is held rain or shine.
Solar Eclipse, Monday April 8: Please note that for the safety of our volunteers and guests and for all to enjoy and witness the solar eclipse, the last trolley ride on Monday, April 8 will be at 2:00 pm.
General Admission Prices
The trolley ride and arts and crafts activities are inlcuded with general admission to the Trolley Museum. The LEGO Workshop is a separate fee and includes museum admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Trolley Museum, advanced purchase not required.
Infants or children under 2 years of age can travel on the lap of an adult for free.
