Scout Program

Once a year we hold a special program for girl and boy scouts, offering them a fun educational view into the railroad industry and trolley history.

The topics change year-by-year, but have featured:

  • Visitor Center tours telling the history of how trolleys help shape Connecticut's communities.
  • Learn about Operation Lifesaver, the national railroad safety program, from a certified instructor.
  • Restoration shop tour highlighting how trolleys work, but also the process of getting them running.
  • Learn about train routes and track maintenance from a railroad employee.

To see what's happening this year, check out the event details below.
